Bufo Alvarius: The God Molecule 🐸

Nowadays many people have heard of Ayahuasca…
Yet fewer have heard of Bufo.
Bufo Alvarius: The God Molecule
Bufo alvarius is a secretion from the Sonoran desert toad that contains 5-MeO-DMT—the ‘God molecule.’
When dried, vaporized, and inhaled, this toad-secretion reliably produces some of the most astounding mystical experiences known to man.
I deeply appreciate the way the curanderos at Kumankaya work with Bufo. They have a deep respect for the medicine and start people at lower, more moderate doses to ensure people respond well to the medicine, before increasing the dose for those who feel called to go deeper.
Bufo Effects: A Sacred Journey
Though it is difficult to generalize about what to expect from Bufo—as each person’s experience is different—we can say the following:
At lower-to-medium doses, Bufo experiences tend to remain embodied. You still have a sense of being on Earth, in your body, and it can often feel like a large wave of Divine Energy is washing over you and through you, cleaning and releasing pockets of karma or ‘stuck’ energy from your system.
At medium-to-higher doses, Bufo becomes much more likely to occasion an experience of ‘dissolution.’ One can feel like one’s entire body and world are dissolving into an Eternal Light of Pure Love and Peace. This can feel like dying and being reborn. It is an unspeakably sacred experience.
In my most profound Bufo journeys, my entire world dissolved. ‘I’ was not really there anymore in some of these experiences. In others, only the slightest speck of ‘I’-ness remained.
It was as if the entire universe had collapsed to nothing, revealing what the universe is made of: The Clear Light of God.
It doesn’t really matter if you use the word ‘God’ or some other word here. Words cannot come close to capturing what happens.
All of existence is One Absolute Being.
In these experiences, it was revealed directly that all of existence is One Absolute Being.
Typically we experience this One Absolute Being in a more ‘veiled’ fashion. We experience a form-filled world of apparently separate objects, and we give names to these objects. This form-filled world—and especially our fixation on the manmade names we have given to its various aspects—seduces us into a reality-tunnel in which we think we know what ‘life’ is.
As such, ‘life’ becomes a commonplace, humdrum affair. Through language and social norms, we all constantly reinforce to one another the idea that, “Ah, yes, this is just life, Earth, humanity. We know what this is. We know how things work here. Just do the normal human stuff and check your boxes and don’t ask too many questions.”
This is all okay. It is as it is. It’s how Life flows in this realm at this time.
It turns out, though, that when the normal ‘veils’ are removed by Bufo or some other revelatory experience, Life is revealed to be something far more astonishing than we commonly suppose.
When the ‘veils’ are stripped away and we return to a more ‘naked,’ primordial, formless essence of what we are and what Life is…
We discover that all of Life is One Unified Field of Eternal Energy.
In its more naked ‘formless form,’ this Energy reveals itself to be unfathomably powerful, sublime, and magnificent.
It reveals itself to be something *so far* beyond all conception or imagination.
It also reveals itself to be Love.
God is Love.
God is Trustworthy.
God is All.
God is Good.
The Highest Good Which Has No Opposite.
